Not content with putting on the biggest surf and music festival in the UK, Boardmasters have launched their inaugural surf camp in SW France this summer. Expect all the best of what Boardmasters has to offer… surf, intimate live music performances and DJs, sunrise yoga, sunset beach sessions, starlit surf cinema and much more. The whole experience is set up for anyone that wants a week away with surfing for any level. Pro Surf ambassadors Tassy Swallow, Luke Dillon and Lucy Campbell will be joining in with camp life throughout the week, passing on their tips and tricks.
What can fans of Boardmasters expect at the surf camp?
A week of sunshine, waves, yoga and music in South West France. Each day we will head down to the beach from camp, where you can surf, swim or sunbathe on the white sand. Expect all the best of what Boardmasters has to offer… Surf, intimate live music performances and DJs, sunrise Yoga, sunset beach sessions, starlit surf cinema and much, much more!
What will the level of coaching be? Can you come if you can surf already?
Pro Surf ambassadors Tassy Swallow, Luke Dillon and Lucy Campbell will be joining in with camp life throughout the week, passing on their pro surfer tips and tricks! Our Surf Coaching packages benefit from daily surf lessons and hands-on coaching sessions, ensuring you have all the knowledge and advice before hitting the water. You’ll also get 12 hours of tuition over the course of the week, including theory lessons on land as well as coaching in the water. Our professional and fully-licensed surf coaches all hold lifeguard qualifications to keep you safe in the waves. Surfboards are available to use free of charge and wetsuits are available too. However, in the summer months you can happily surf in just a pair of boardies or a bikini. Bliss!
How much music will there be and which bands will be playing?
Boardmasters Surf Camps will keep you smiling and entertained from the first wave to the last beat; with Boardmasters Opening and Closing parties featuring Hein Cooperand Wille & The Bandits to soundtrack your surf holiday. Not only that, but you can expect intimate campfire sessions and the hottest DJs spinning your favourite records as the sun goes down! What’s going to be the best thing about the week?
The whole experience is set up for anyone that wants a week away of surfing for any level. We have Surf Safari options for the experienced which include our Surf guides on hand taking you to the best waves, or Surf coaching packages which include 12 hours of tuition over the course of the week. Of course, you don’t have to surf if you don’t want to! The warm water of southern France is perfect for swimming and the white sandy beaches and French climate are ideal for sun-worshippers to top up their tans. The Boardmasters Surf Camp is your holiday, so you can tailor it how you wish… surf, swim, sunbathe – it’s your choice.
