Billabong’s collection is inspired by the beauty of summertime and pure Californian ease, with a sunny and feminine palette, flowery designs and modern stripes. We talk to Isabelle Weppe, Billabong Europe Women’s Design Manager.
Isabelle, what’s new about your collection for summer?
High-waist swim bottoms give a cheeky and fresh new proportion for swimwear, while the perfectly minimal neckline – tube tops and bandeaus – are the go-to shapes. The texture is still strong, with innovated fabrications of true knit, wavy stripes (for a vintage look), shiny fabric and rib fabric.
Is the focus on tanning or surfing?
Both: the Surf Capsule line is the perfect fit and shape to surf with style, and the main line is for tanning and to find your place in the sun.
