During these unprecedented times when we can’t get out as much as we’re used to, it can be really frustrating especially if you’re used to being active. Despite not being able to get out we need to make the best of things and try to stay fit and healthy.  If you’re lucky enough to be able to get outside and go running, walking, or cycling that’s great, keep it up. However if you’re self-isolating at home here’s some ways to maintain your fitness levels so once things get back to normal again you will be dominating the line ups!  

Online Workouts

Online video workouts are great for doing at home, and there’s lots of videos on you tube which you can follow for all kinds of exercise workouts, here’s some we’ve shared lately. Plus we are running live fitness and wellbeing classes so join in the fun and keep fit. The classes start at 8am GMT but if you can’t make it then, they’re on our instagram feed for 24 hours. See the schedule below and don’t forget to tune in!

Eat Well, Stay Healthy

If you want to stay healthy, eating healthy food, along with exercising, is definitely the way to go. 
Start the day with breakfast, it kick starts your metabolism to ensure you cruise through your day in the best way possible without snacking. During the day eat small meals however make sure you eat every 3 or 4 hours.  This helps keeps your blood sugar even. Which in turn stops energy dips and assists in  reducing fatigue and the unhealthy craving for sugary or fatty snacks. Eat food that is naturally bright and colourful. Foods like oranges, berries, watermelon, pomegranates are full to the brim of wonderful vitamins, minerals and nutrients that support immunity. And eat green, fill up your plate with lots of leafy green goodness like broccoli, spinach, kale, lettuce, cucumber, snow peas and beans.

Try this little fruity treat from Hayley Shaw McGuinness – My Berry Yogurt Bliss

This is one of the simplest most delightful little snacks.

What you need

  • Fresh or frozen berries
  • Whatever your fave yogurt is (I use natural greek)
  • A tray with baking paper.
  • A fork to use for dipping the fruit.

What to do
It’s so simple…. dip the fruit into the yogurt and place onto tray – give each piece a nice even covering. Pop them in the freezer until the yogurt is hard. Snack on them when you ever so desire!
