We know it becomes harder to surf over the winter months, especially if you work long hours and the only time you can surf is at the weekends. Making sure your fitness and surfing doesn’t suffer because of these long winter months is really important; no one wants to go into spring feeling unfit and unhealthy. So focus your efforts on keeping fit and active.

Exercise balls are great for working on your balance and core muscle strength. You can use them at home, in the gym or at the office. They turn basic exercises like a sit-up or push-up into a more challenging exercise.

Even if you don’t practice yoga a yoga mat is still a good investment. They are great for any floor-based exercises you may do at home; they keep you comfortable and also will prevent you from slipping if you have wooden flooring at home. They are easily stored away and can even be used outside.
