In surf photogrpahy a great lineup shot has the ability to inspire and convey emotion in a way that many action shots never can. Also, there are dozens of surf photographers these days either in the water or on land when the surf’s good, so if you don’t have a big lens or water housing you’ve got a much better chance of getting a lineup shot published.
