Mini Bugs, Ladybirds and Fleas…
Rip Curl’s Mirage Bikini Collection
Maybe so, but worrying whether your Bikini will “make the drop” and actually leave you bare-assed as you drive off the bottom is not much fun for active surfing girls. Thanks to the Mirage Bikini Collection, those days are over.
Rip Curl, renowned for the world’s best wetsuits and surf performance technology, have applied their knowledge to women’s swimwear and engaged resident “bikini expert”, Alana Blanchard to help design this Summer’s “My Mirage Bikini” Collection.
Having just re-qualified for the elite 2013 ASP Women’s World Tour, finding a bikini that both performs in the water and still looks hot has been top priority for Alana. With the objective clearly laid out, Alana worked closely with the girl’s design team at Rip Curl to produce a range of swimwear that reflects the best of both worlds.
“My Mirage Bikini is really good to surf and be active in,” says Alana. “The top is designed around your shoulders, so your neck doesn’t get sore and it lays on your skin really nice. The bottom doesn’t cut in and supports you, but still looks great. You can pretty much do anything in it. You can sleep in it’s so comfortable!” says Blanchard who actually put the bikini through day and night testing while on the “My Bikini” campaign shoot held on the beautiful Namotu Island, Fiji.
The My Mirage Bikini range is made out of Xtra Life Lycra to provide a long lasting fit, which counters “shape loss” and the effects of chlorine and the sun, while the ultra lightweight fabric moulds to the contours of your body ensuring maximum comfort.
Rip Curl’s continual search for innovation runs deep in the Mirage Bikini Collection. The “quick dry” technology applied to the fabric will keep your shorts (and your car seat!) dry after you surf, while “stitchless seams” feel smoother than ever before.
