The resort will be the testing centre for the wetsuit division of the renowned international surf brand. The deal cements a long term relationship with the two companies and will be an exciting addition to the resort’s extensive outdoor activity programme.
O’Neill is investing further in the relationship with a concession at the Loop Flowrider store where guests will be able to browse an exclusive and extensive range of wetsuits. The surf brand will also be providing wetsuits for all instructors and visitors, as well as significant on-site branding.
The deal comes hot on the heels of the news that Retallack will be opening its first cable wakeboarding pool, the Wake Park. Wakeboarding classes will be in operation on the main lake at the Resort for six weeks, opening in August. Retallack is already in talks with the Wakeboarding Federation with the aim of making the resort its UK training centre for the UK team.
Resort manager Amy Keyter says: “This is incredibly exciting news for the Loop Flowrider at the Retallack Resort and Spa. O’Neill Wetsuits UK sees our vision to be the South West’s leading family activity resort. With the Flowrider, wakeboarding lake, our new kayaking centre and cycle track we are a mecca for families looking for an active 5* self-catering holiday in Cornwall.”
Steven Peters, European Marketing Manager, O’Neill says: “O’Neill Wetsuits UK is delighted to make the Loop Flowrider at Retallack Resort and Spa its UK testing base. It’s a terrific location, right in the heart of Cornwall, the home of British surfing. We sponsor a number of Newquay born riders, such as current European Longboard Champion Ben Skinner, so visitors to the Loop Flowrider are likely to catch a glimpse of these world class riders putting our new lines through their paces.”
In addition to the resorts water sports activities, guests and visitors alike can enjoy use of the golf course, tennis courts, indoor heated pool, Decleor Spa, state-of-the-art fitness suite and The Loop Bar and Restaurant: www.retallackresort.co.uk
