10 year old Imogen Jones from Newquay won the MINI-BUGS 2012 Top Girl award this weekend. In tough conditions she came out with the top wave score out of all the girls entered. She scored herself a prize pack dontated by Vans, SurfGirl and Northcore and was presented by pro surfer Celine Gehret amongst the hoots of the 71 entrants.
“I was really happy with the girls turn out this year and for sure next year will look to create a separate LADYBIRDS girls division. The conditions were tough and Imogen was a worthy winner. A special shout out should also go to the Under 8′s Beth Perkins, Lily and Jude Hardy. The future is bright with these young bugs!” said Contest Organiser Joel Gray from Surf Solutions.
