Things are starting to hot up this summer with the Fistral Beatz at Fistral Beach, Newquay on Friday 13^th and Saturday 14^th of July.

A new series of special events housed in a purpose built marquee upon the sands of Fistral Beach. Featuring full stage and lighting production, fully stocked bar, and a massive line-up of DJs, for just £10 per day.

Kicking things off on the Friday with a tasty line-up covering everything from breaks n beats to hiphop and drum & bass with headliners and DMC winners ‘Scratch Perverts’, joined by legendary breaks duo and Grand Hotel label heads ‘Plump DJs’, jump up party producers ‘The Freestylers’ (behind crossover tracks like ‘Push Up’), and Fingerlickin records very own funk-master ‘A Skillz’.

 

For Saturday night things go Bass Heavy, with a special headline appearance from Mercury Music Prize winner and all-round pioneer of Drum&Bass ‘Roni Size’.  A man who with his Reprazent band took bass music mainstream in 1997 with the acclaimed ‘New Forms’ album. To keep things fresh, he will be joined by the turntable wizard that is ‘DJ Yoda’, a man famed for his cartoony cut & paste style and unique AV shows, sure to keep the funk flowing while the sun sets. Hospital Records newbie’s and Zane Lowe favourites ‘Fred V & Graffix’ bring it for the nu-school.. Having recently bagged a Biggest Record In The World on Radio1. As if that wasn’t enough, there will be a south-west exclusive live performance from the hotly tipped ‘Ayah Marar’ (the voice behind Camo & Krooked, and countless other dance hits).

 

Both nights will see a solid showing of the cream of the Cornish DJ crop, including; Robin Parris, The Beat Medics, Freerange DJs, Snatch The Wax, Disco Guns, Klimax, Premise, Palm, ReDefeat, Grudge, and many more.

With the event being open to all over the age of 14 (U16’s to be accompanied by an adults), and priced at just £10.. This is looking to be one of the weekends of the summer, in an idyllic location, and an addition to the Cornwall nightlife scene that looks set to continue to grow.
