The House of Marley, with its collection of premium quality, earth-friendly products, today announced that it is sponsoring Relentless Energy Drink Boardmasters in association with Vans, the UK’s longest running surf, skate and music festival, taking place 8-12 August in Cornwall.
The five day festival will see the world’s surfing elite compete across three events as well as featuring the best in skateboarding and BMX. MARLEY will be showcasing the wide range of earth friendly headphones, music docks and bags, which embody the Marley Family’s values of equality, unity, authenticity, sustainability and charity.
Bob Marley’s son, Rohan Marley, commented: “Action sports have always been important to us, as that’s where the roots people hang out. The House of Marley products represent my father’s music and vision. He spread hope, unity and peace through his music – and we wanted to bring this vision to a new generation.”
The music element of the festival will see artists as diverse as Ed Sheeran, DJ Fresh, Dizzee Rascal and Maximo Park performing, with The House of Marley providing fans with the opportunity to relax and listen to a mix of talented DJs at The MARLEY Point at Watergate Bay. The talented line-up is to be announced soon, but the arena is set to be a great place to kick back and enjoy some music.
The surf, skate and music festival wouldn’t be complete without the ultimate Sunday Night Beach session. Supporting The Black Seeds, Yes Sir Boss and DJ Ollie Stratton, MARLEY will also be a presenting partner of this exclusive gig, giving fans the chance to listen to great music whilst enjoying a summer BBQ overlooking the famous Fistral Beach.
The festival also upholds eco-conscious activities, ensuring that all waste is recycled wherever possible and twice daily beach cleans ensure nothing is left behind.
Nick Grocott, European Marketing Manager, The House of Marley UK, said: “The House of Marley has a strong connection with the surf, skate and BMX scene, which is why Boardmasters is the perfect event to be involved in. It’s great to partner with a festival which really supports the values of the MARLEY brand, from the quality of the music right through to its eco-conscious activities.”
MARLEY has a comprehensive range of product and features noise isolating in-ear and on-ear headphones, active noise canceling over-ear headphones, docking stations, and portable audio systems. Suggested retail prices range from £19.99 to £249.99 for headphones and £49.99 to £299.99 for docks, offering superior audio products for “young gongs” to “conscious connoisseurs”. MARLEY products are available in HMV and selected surf, snow and skate shops nationwide including Watershed in Newquay (watershedshop.co.uk) and iboardsports in Bournemouth (iboardshorts.com).
