QUIKSILVER WELSH NATIONALS 2010
Saturday was amazing the sun was out the waves were 3 feet and clean so the competition was on!
Some of the early rounds saw some of the local boys go out early, such as Dean Gough, Toby Bradley and Harry Cromwell. I even gave the open a go this year and was a hair pin away from getting though to round 3. This was great fun and got a chance to scare some of the boys!!
Sunday saw a bit more wind but still lots of swell. Everyone was set for the final; Beth Mason, Gwen Sperlock, Lisa Denis and myself. The final was to be held in middle bay, and I was off to a bad start and not even had a wave after 10 minutes. The final was a close call and came down to a count back between Beth and myself on our third wave. Beth claimed the title 2010.
Well done to all the competitors, and thanks to everyone at the Welsh Surfing Federation for putting the event on.
