FEEL THE HEAT…

This is my favourite photo from the latest issue – it’s of world champ longboarder Jen Smith on a boat trip in the Maldives. It’s so evocative you can almost feel the jungle heat. It’s a fab shot and it’s great to see her in a more feral environment rather than the usual contesty ones I¬† get to see of her.

Aside from Jen, there was a whole international crew of longboarders and shortboarders like Belinda Baggs and Claire Bevo on the trip Рand surfing alongside them Gracie Davies from Jersey. Gracie was  stoked to be with such an amazing crew of girls and photog Swilly was impressed with Gracie, raving about her surfing over the phone.

 

From this and other surf trips it’s really good to know that British and Irish surfers such as Candice O’Donnell, Nicole Morgan, Beth Mason and Easkey Britton are holding their own amongst the top international riders these days.
