GIDGET: THE ACCIDENTIAL ICON

Having been born and bred in California, the name Gidget I always knew to be synonymous with surfing. As young girl; however, Gidget was mainly depicted to me through Sally Field’s portrayal of the real life darling. I have been fortunate enough to have gotten to know the real life Gidget, Kathy Kohner-Zuckerman, who is truly an absolute doll.
