FLOWRIDER FUN!

Flowrider Fun!

Having heard all about the brand new Flowrider in Newquay, we decided to give it a go. We arrived at the resort to see our instructor ripping it up, making it look oh-so-easy. Flowriding is a totally different type of surfing. Hundreds gallons of water fly at you at a bewildering speed and the daunting fact is that there are two ways you can get off: gracefully to the side or face planting and getting shot up the slope. All joking aside the Flowrider is great fun!
I‚Äôm not a very confident surfer, but this was such good fun and it doesn‚Äôt matter if you fall off, which I did quite a lot, because once you get those couple of seconds when you’re actually riding it, it’s amazing.
The first session is the Flow 101. The instructors give you a step-by-step tuition, starting with lying down on a bodyboard. Then they get you to do some tricks, and before you know it you’re standing up. So even if you are as scared as I was, you are talked through everything really thoroughly.
If you are considering going, I would definitely go for it!
