CHICKS WITH STICKS 2010
First up on Saturday 3rd July is the Chicks with Sticks Art Rumble. During the day we will be running surf craft workshops , SurfGirl will be there with their clothes swap tea party (everythings vintage if someone else had it first!), you can help us paint our very own giant mural, stalls from our favourite independent surf traders, and not to mention the debut of Dane’s famous melon stall!
The special event of the day will be an auction of works by surfer girl artists and photographers, and live music and an ipod battle for afters .
The Art Rumble will be raising money for Surfers for Cetaceans www.s4cglobal.org/ and for Ticket to Ride Foundation’s work with girls in the Masiphumelele township in Cape Town. www.ttride.co.uk/foundation
Our second event on Saturday 24th July 2010 is the Chicks with Sticks Surf Day. During the day there will be a fun surfing contest with tag teams, fancy dress, expression sessions and the ultimate battle: Chicks with Sticks versus the Newquay Boardriders.  The contest is for all abilities, check out our website to find out how you can take part.
 
The after party will include bands and DJs, raffles and amazing prizes, awards, and the return of the greatest event of the year, the Chicks with Sticks Surfer Boy Auction!
The Surf Day will be raising money for Surfers Against Sewage, supporting PANTs and the Lavender Trust and collecting equipment for Mr Bright’s surf school in Ghana.
