2009 was another amazing year in for Rip Curl’s golden girl. Here a celebrationary vid of Steph’s year.

Stephanie Gilmore, 3 x ASP World Champion. Three wins on the first three years on tour, no one’s done it before and Steph’s got a lot to smile about. We’ve got some exclusive party pics and a clip of her year.

For Steph, 2009 was a year of consistency in competition, and living new experiences during the downtime. The 21 year-old natural footer spent three months in the middle of the year living in Orange County, CA working a video blog site with Rip Curl ��(www.ripcurl.com/stephintheus) where she documented trips to New York, surf strikes to Mexico, and much more. Then in December Steph placed third at the Gidget Pro at Sunset Beach and claimed her third title.

��It��s surreal to win for a third time,�� Gilmore said. ��It��s amazing! I just want to thank everyone for the support that I��ve had throughout the whole year.��

Additionally, Steph was crowned SURFER Poll Winner for 2009, a first for her career.
